Journal subject areas
The journal subject areas are defined by the following index terms below. These terms represent the keywords to be chosen for assignment of submitted manuscripts to individual editors. The same keywords are also used by the alert service. The keywords are split into three groups: subject, timescale and archive. Each paper and each alert request should include keywords from each of the three groups.
|Subject||ocean dynamics, atmospheric dynamics, ice dynamics, vegetation dynamics, continental surface processes, carbon cycle, greenhouse gases, feedback and forcing, teleconnections, proxy use–development–validation, climate modelling|
|Timescale||pre-Cenozoic, Cenozoic, Pleistocene, Holocene, instrumental period, Milankovitch, millennial/Dansgaard–Oeschger, centennial–decadal, decadal–seasonal|
|Archive||ice cores, marine archives, terrestrial archives, historical records, modelling studies|
